On the other hand, a hypo muscle is considered to be weak from the start because it is mostly in a de-facilitated state. With the muscles not working in their normal regulatory manner of activation and deactivation, this leaves an athlete susceptible to the onset of fatigue and increases the likelihood of a sports injury. Additionally, there is a loss of joint stability which further affects the gait reflex movement, which if not corrected by resuming the neurological balance within the system, will ultimately affect the performance of the athlete.
